Year over year, Jefferson County’s home values have inched up, with the typical home value rising nearly 6 percent while the statewide median grew about 3 percent. At the same time, the share of homes sold above list price dipped slightly to just over 9 percent, and the average sale-to-list ratio is just under 95 percent, signaling buyers have some room to negotiate.
