September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $135,000—up 17.39% over the previous 12 months. Allen County had 8 new listings and 15 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 37—down 22.92% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 37 active listings, 45.95% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Allen County grew 5.1% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $134,000. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to grow.
