June’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $202,250—up 15.64% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $312,500 in Kansas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $315,350 in July.

Seward County had 10 new listings and 12 listings that went under contract in June, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 36—down 0.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in July.

Of those 36 active listings, 16.67% reduced their price in the month of June. The median listing price for homes in Seward County grew 4.93% from May to June, bringing the current median listing price to $196,750. Based on projected data for July, listing prices may continue to grow.
