April’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $417,450—up 11.92% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $343,450 in Licking County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $354,180 in May.
Johnstown had 9 new listings and 11 listings that went under contract in April, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 15—up 7.14% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in May.
Of those 15 active listings, 20.0% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Johnstown fell 2.57% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $409,000. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year. In April 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 48 days, compared to 63 days in April 2024.
