For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $316,700 in South Dakota for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $311,200 in May.

Stanley County had 4 new listings and 1 listings that went under contract in April, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 8—up 33.33% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in May.

Of those 8 active listings, 25.0% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Stanley County grew 46.97% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $399,750. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose sharply year-over-year.
