For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $342,000 in Palo Pinto County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $383,000 in June.

Mineral Wells had 23 new listings and 19 listings that went under contract in May, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 84—down 4.55% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in June.

Of those 84 active listings, 28.57% reduced their price in the month of May. The median listing price for homes in Mineral Wells fell 12.36% from April to May, bringing the current median listing price to $195,000. Based on projected data for June, listing prices may continue to fall.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year. In May 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 77 days, compared to 27 days in May 2024. However, in recent months the median number of days from listed to pending appears to be falling. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this June.
