Katri graduated from UCLA with a degree in economics, moved to Durango, and fell in love with the mountains, the town, and the people in Durango. Since 2006, Katri has been a small business owner in Durango. As a local entrepreneur, she became interested in the local housing and rental market and real estate investments. After learning from her own personal real estate investments, she decided to pursue her broker/real estate license.
Katri also believes in giving back to the community, having volunteered hundreds of hours with Durango Trails and community-centered children's mountain bike programs such as Durango Devo and EveryPedal.
