Pat loves looking at houses and finding the right house for her buyers, helping make their home ownership dreams come true. Pat truly believes that your home is where you plant your roots to create memories that last a lifetime. Assisting sellers allows Pat to help move them to the next phase of their life. She is licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin.

In January 2011, Pat purchased the Lakes Realty Group and built a team of experts to make it a strong, local real estate office. Since its purchase, she has brought the company into substantial growth. She sponsors many events and organizations, including the annual Fox Lake TriAthlon, NICC Ice Fishing Derby, St. Bede Halloween Hustle, and more.

She has one son and lives on the lake with her husband, where summers are spent on the water enjoying activities like kayaking, swimming, tubing, and wakeboarding. She enjoys traveling, especially to Europe.

You couldn't ask for a nicer, more understanding, patient, friendly, and more approachable agent than Pat Smarto. Pat went above and beyond when it came to the sale of our home, things that weren't in her control, she still tried to make a difference. Pat is off-the-charts with her promptness when it comes to returning calls, texts, feedback, contracts, and follow-up. EVERYTHING was in a VERY timely matter and went exactly as she said it would.

Pat Smarto's knowledge, expertise, and passion make her a true professional in buying and selling waterfront homes. I would definitely recommend Pat. She was my lifesaver, I would have drowned without her!

We've used Pat several times and she is simply the best. When we sold, she got us our asking price and when we bought she found us the right house in a great neighborhood in the price range we wanted.

Pat's personal touch and honesty was CRITICAL in getting this deal done. We really appreciated not just her knowledge of the area but how it applied to our particular situation (which was unusual). She also provided several helpful little nudges to remind me to follow up on certain things, which I greatly appreciated. I would absolutely retain Pat again, and I would certainly recommend her to others.
