“Elise was super intentional with her choices and really listened to what we were looking for. As a first time home buyer she made it super enjoyable and very easy. She was amazing to work with and never failed to answer any questions I had (even the silly ones) again I was completely clueless and she really helped my dream home become a reality! 100/10 recommend!!”

Market gauge is calculated using active listings and pending sales from the most recently available reporting period (Jul 2026).
Inventory in Lawrence County has leveled off, with 76 active listings in July and no month-over-month change. Fewer homes are flowing through the pipeline, as new listings dropped nearly a quarter from June and are down more than a third from a year ago. Closed sales also eased, with homes sold falling both month over month and year over year, even as pending sales ticked up compared with June.
Pricing has responded with notable strength despite softer listing and sales activity. The typical home value reached about $158,000 in July, up more than 11 percent from June and over 20 percent higher than a year earlier. Sellers are still close to asking price, with the average sale-to-list ratio around 96 percent, and roughly 30 percent of homes closed above list, a sharply higher share than last year.
Conditions show a neutral backdrop overall, with 4.9 months of supply in Lawrence County, similar to Arkansas as a whole at just over five months. Homes are taking longer to sell, with the median days on market stretching to more than two months compared with much shorter marketing times last summer. With inventory steady, prices climbing, and time-on-market lengthening, both buyers and sellers can benefit from an Agent Pronto–recommended real estate professional to navigate the Lawrence County market and advocate for their goals.
Learn more about what Lawrence County has to offer.
Lawrence County offers residents a welcoming, close-knit community with easy access to outdoor recreation, dependable local services, and growing opportunities for small businesses and cultural life.
Lawrence County feels distinctly rooted compared with nearby, faster growing areas like Jonesboro or Greene County. Life here moves at a steadier pace, with communities like Walnut Ridge and Hoxie centered on schools, local businesses, and gatherings at ballfields and diners. Many residents know one another by name, and that familiarity shapes the experience of moving in, raising a family, or downsizing later in life.
Walnut Ridge serves as a regional hub, from the Lawrence County Library to the Arkansas State University campus in nearby Newport. Aviation and railroad history give the area its own identity, highlighted at the Wings of Honor Museum and the Guitar Walk at Cavenaugh Park. Outdoors, residents enjoy fishing and boating on the Black River at Davidsonville Historic State Park, youth sports at local parks, and community events in smaller towns throughout the county.
Housing options range from older homes on wide lots to modest new construction and rural properties with acreage. Prices often compare favorably to Craighead County, which draws interest from both first time buyers and investors. With inventory and interest rates shifting, timing and preparation matter. A knowledgeable local agent can help you understand neighborhood trends, price realistically, and navigate offers. Agent Pronto connects both buyers and sellers in Lawrence County with the right real estate professional so you can move forward with confidence.

“I explained what I needed and Hervey Homes took me to my first showing. It WAS PERFECT! We put in an offer but they continued to show me homes. I asked lots of questions and they answered them all quickly. They negotiated while showing other properties an ultimately was able to get the first home that I had already fell in love with. So thankful for Hervey Homes. Alexis and Yolanda are the best.”

“I was amazed you found an agent to handle the sale of my property mere hours after I contacted you very late in the evening. I was contacted by Kim first thing the following morning & within a week to 10 days, we had an offer. I didn't even think we'd be able to sell but Kim was positive & encouraging. I couldn't have done this without her.”
