November’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $174,750—down 41.75% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $268,600 in Arkansas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $267,700 in December.
Newton County had 5 new listings and 10 listings that went under contract in November, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 63—down 16.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in December.
Of those 63 active listings, 19.05% reduced their price in the month of November. The median listing price for homes in Newton County fell 53.75% from October to November, bringing the current median listing price to $185,000. Based on projected data for December, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year. In November 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 87 days, compared to 54 days in November 2024. In recent months the median number of days from listed to pending appears to be increasing. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this December.
