“Elise was super intentional with her choices and really listened to what we were looking for. As a first time home buyer she made it super enjoyable and very easy. She was amazing to work with and never failed to answer any questions I had (even the silly ones) again I was completely clueless and she really helped my dream home become a reality! 100/10 recommend!!”

Market gauge is calculated using active listings and pending sales from the most recently available reporting period (Jul 2026).
Union County is seeing more homes available, with active listings up about a quarter from last year to 120. New listings also increased modestly year over year while pending sales fell nearly 25 percent, signaling slower contract activity. With months of supply jumping to about 6.2 months, conditions have shifted into a neutral market where buyers have more options and sellers face more competition.
Prices are adjusting to this softer demand. The typical home value and median list price are both down more than 23 percent compared with a year ago, even as Arkansas overall is posting modest price growth. On a monthly basis, homes sold dropped sharply, falling more than 55 percent from June, yet the average sale-to-list ratio in Union County has edged slightly higher over the past year to about 97 percent, showing sellers who do find buyers are still close to their asking prices.
Homes are also moving through the market more efficiently than a year ago, with the median time to go under contract now 27 days. Only about 13 percent of sales close above list price, and roughly 27 percent of homes go off the market within two weeks, highlighting a mix of fast-moving and slower listings. With Union County trending below statewide prices and inventory rising faster than sales, both buyers and sellers can benefit from an Agent Pronto–recommended real estate agent to navigate timing, pricing, and negotiation.
Learn more about what Union County has to offer.
Union County offers residents a welcoming, close-knit community, ample outdoor recreation, and convenient local amenities that support families and everyday life.
Union County stands apart from nearby areas by pairing industrial strength with a close community feel. Centered on El Dorado, the county has a strong energy and manufacturing base, yet residents know their neighbors, support local schools, and gather for festivals on the historic downtown square. The Murphy Arts District has brought concerts, dining, and family events that draw visitors from Ouachita County and Columbia County while reinforcing a strong local identity.
Daily life in Union County balances small town convenience with natural surroundings. Families make use of the El Dorado School District and the regional campus of South Arkansas Community College, while outdoor enthusiasts head to Moro Bay State Park or the expansive Felsenthal National Wildlife Refuge for boating, fishing, and hunting. Neighborhoods range from established homes near downtown El Dorado to quieter pockets around Norphlet and Smackover.
For current residents considering a move, and for newcomers comparing Union County with larger hubs like Pulaski County, timing and preparation are crucial. Market conditions can shift quickly between starter homes, rural acreage, and in town properties. Agent Pronto connects you with a local real estate professional who understands these micro markets, helps you prepare thoroughly, and positions you to move confidently whether you are buying or selling.

“I explained what I needed and Hervey Homes took me to my first showing. It WAS PERFECT! We put in an offer but they continued to show me homes. I asked lots of questions and they answered them all quickly. They negotiated while showing other properties an ultimately was able to get the first home that I had already fell in love with. So thankful for Hervey Homes. Alexis and Yolanda are the best.”

“I was amazed you found an agent to handle the sale of my property mere hours after I contacted you very late in the evening. I was contacted by Kim first thing the following morning & within a week to 10 days, we had an offer. I didn't even think we'd be able to sell but Kim was positive & encouraging. I couldn't have done this without her.”
