October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $228,000—up 14.0% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $303,300 in Kansas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $308,900 in November.
Anderson County had 6 new listings and 8 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 18—down 5.26% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 18 active listings, 27.78% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Anderson County grew 1.29% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $157,000. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to grow.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
