South Louisville real estate Market Report.

Information and statistics on the latest trends in the South Louisville real estate market, updated for May 2026. *

South Louisville is seeing relatively low but active housing supply right now. There were 15 homes listed for sale in March 2026, with 20 new listings coming on the market and 14 going under contract. Compared with last year, inventory is down about 21 percent, while pending sales have fallen roughly 39 percent, signaling fewer deals closing even as new listings also dipped about 9 percent.

Pricing in the neighborhood is notably lower than in the broader Louisville city market, where the typical home value is $259,450. South Louisville’s typical home value sits around $135,000, down about 4.9 percent from a year ago, and homes are selling for about 91.7 percent of asking price, with none recently closing above list. Sellers are still listing higher at a median of $163,500, but list prices edged down about 3.5 percent month over month as they respond to buyer behavior.

Time on market shows activity has been picking up somewhat, with the median days on market at 43, down nearly 9.5 percent since February and more than 11 percent compared with last year. Projections for April 2026 suggest only subtle shifts, with the typical home value inching up to about $136,050, the median list price dipping to roughly $160,500, and inventory easing to around 14 homes. With conditions rated as a Seller’s Market but buyers clearly exerting price pressure, both buyers and sellers can benefit from Agent Pronto’s help in finding a local agent who understands these trends.
