For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $230,000 in Daviess County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $228,880 in May.

Owensboro had 54 new listings and 56 listings that went under contract in April, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 96—down 2.04% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in May.

Of those 96 active listings, 35.42% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Owensboro grew 38.84% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $259,900. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year.
