Year-over-year, Buchanan County has seen home values soften while activity has pulled back. The typical home value in September was down about 9 percent from a year earlier, and homes sold fell roughly 17 percent. At the same time, inventory grew about 9 percent and months of supply climbed nearly 73 percent, shifting conditions somewhat toward buyers even though it is still labeled a seller’s market.
