I suspect most homes these days are purchased the same way. I think it's probably rare to find a realtor that actually actively seeks our homes and contacts you with possibilities. Most of them set up automatic searches that just push the new listings to you that fit your requirements. However, if you have special requests - like enough land to build a shop, or if the deed restrictions allow an outbuilding - it is our experience that realtors don't know the answers to those questions and usually can't help you find the answers. Nearly all the information they provide is available online now. I will say responsiveness helps if you find a local realtor, who doesn't have to drive an hour to show you a property.”
