For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $348,400 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $348,500 in May.

Gonzales County had 12 new listings and 8 listings that went under contract in April, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 57—up 9.62% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in May.

Of those 57 active listings, 22.81% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Gonzales County fell 6.99% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $339,500. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to fall.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year.
