For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $348,400 in Texas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $348,500 in May.

Somervell County had 16 new listings and 17 listings that went under contract in April, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 52—down 0.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in May.

Of those 52 active listings, 25.0% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Somervell County grew 6.17% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $464,500. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year.
