Derek is a Michigan real estate broker at Real Estate One, Michigan's largest real estate company. He has been recognized by RIS Media as one of America's "Top 50 Realtors® on the Rise." Derek has served as a guest lecturer on real estate technology at a Michigan university and has been named one of "America's Premier Experts." Each year from 2012 through 2022, he was named a "Real Estate All-Star" by SE Michigan Hour Magazine.

Derek holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Business Law and a minor in Communication from a Michigan university. He currently serves on the professional standards committee for the local board.

He has authored a book and has been quoted by the Detroit Free Press regarding the Michigan real estate market and strategies for selling homes. Additionally, Derek has been interviewed on a national radio program.
