Susan Solar

I grew up in New Jersey in a real estate family—my father owned his own firm there—giving me unique insights into the real estate business from a young age. In 1971, my husband and I moved to the North Country, both having accepted teaching jobs. I taught high school English until our children were born. In 2013, I went to work for Gallus & Green Realtors, and was one of the office’s leading listing agents.
The best part for me, working in the real estate industry, is the good feeling I get when buyers' eyes light up and you know you’ve found them the right property, or you’ve helped them realize their goal of selling. I believe good customer service—listening to what the client wants or needs and good, open lines of communication—is vital when you’re connecting buyers and sellers, and it’s my primary goal. I am a "green" realtor, encouraging the use of alternative energy sources and I carry the NAR's Green Designation indicating training in green buildings .
