The typical home value in Walton County is projected to be $683,600 for the month of April. March’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $662,400—down 10.49% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $409,500 in Florida for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $408,550 in April.

Walton County had 663 new listings and 319 listings that went under contract in March, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 2,436—up 7.41% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in April.

Of those 2,436 active listings, 23.56% reduced their price in the month of March. The median listing price for homes in Walton County grew 12.18% from February to March, bringing the current median listing price to $875,000. Based on projected data for April, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract has been fairly steady year-over-year. In March 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 97 days, compared to 101 days in March 2024. However, in recent months the median number of days from listed to pending appears to be rising. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this April.
