February’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $274,950—down 17.3% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $286,900 in Kansas for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $290,100 in March.
Pottawatomie County had 35 new listings and 26 listings that went under contract in February, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 46—up 27.78% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in March.

The median listing price for homes in Pottawatomie County fell 2.26% from January to February, bringing the current median listing price to $325,000. Based on projected data for March, listing prices may continue to fall.
