Year over year, McLeod County’s typical home value is up modestly, rising about 5 percent to around $309,000 in June 2026. Active listings have climbed sharply over the past year, increasing by more than half while new listings jumped more than 70 percent. At the same time, homes sold are down compared with last June, pointing to more options but slightly softer closed sales.
Zooming in on June, buyers saw a median list price near $285,000, down from May even as the underlying home value moved higher. More inventory is available, with 155 active listings and about 2.5 months of supply, which is still lean but up more than 100 percent from a year ago.
Homes are taking longer to sell than last year, with the median days on market up sharply to 25 days, yet more than half of properties still go under contract within two weeks. Roughly 32 percent of sales closed above the asking price, and the average sale-to-list ratio hovered just under 100 percent, signaling sellers can still achieve prices close to their expectations. Compared with Minnesota overall, McLeod County’s typical sale price sits below the state median and supply is slightly tighter, underscoring its relative affordability.
