November’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $347,500—up 15.83% over the previous 12 months. Tompkins County had 29 new listings and 38 listings that went under contract in November, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 151—down 17.49% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in December.
Of those 151 active listings, 14.57% reduced their price in the month of November. The median listing price for homes in Tompkins County fell 8.45% from October to November, bringing the current median listing price to $325,000. Based on projected data for December, listing prices may continue to fall.
