September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $190,500—up 13.09% over the previous 12 months. Massillon had 44 new listings and 41 listings that went under contract in September, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 67—down 4.29% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in October.
Of those 67 active listings, 46.27% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Massillon fell 21.44% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $164,900. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
