Inventory in Barron County expanded in April 2026, with active listings up more than 22 percent from the prior month to 238, and new listings rising about 21 percent. Pending sales also climbed roughly 17 percent month over month, indicating more homes are moving into contract even as choices increase for shoppers.

Pricing is reacting to this activity in mixed ways, as the typical home value jumped nearly 28 percent from March and stands just below the statewide median of Wisconsin. At the same time, the median list price fell by a little over 8 percent from the prior month, suggesting sellers may be adjusting asking prices to align with buyer expectations.

Homes are changing hands more quickly, with median days on market dropping sharply from 110 days in March to 53 days in April, and months of supply falling from 5.6 to 3.8, a level consistent with the county’s seller’s market gauge. With about 17 percent of homes selling above list and the average sale-to-list ratio just over 99 percent, final sale prices are landing close to asking.
