Real estate roots run deep for third-generation real estate broker Joe Lanet. He often jokes that he was genetically predisposed to the real estate business.

Joe entered the business as a full-time broker from day one in his 20s with only $19 in his pocket. "And real estate is a hard business," Joe says. He recalls fondly a bookkeeper at the first office he worked at, Virginia Marks. "She was one of the sweetest ladies I ever met. Virginia would bring me grocery bags full of tomatoes from her garden, and that is what I ate for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a solid month!" Now, nearly 20 years later, Joe has helped hundreds of families buy or sell, and he still LOVES tomato sandwiches!
