Ryan graduated from Bay City Western High School in 1994 and earned a teaching degree from Central Michigan University in 2000. He completed his Master's degree from Saginaw Valley State University in 2004. Ryan worked for Bay City Public Schools for over 25 years, teaching science to grades 7-12 and coaching baseball, golf, and tennis. He became a licensed Realtor in 2017, working at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices and eXp Realty as part of the Mr. Lister Real Estate Team. Ryan earned his broker's license in 2023, with hopes of starting his own brokerage. Soon after, Bay Realty Michigan was founded in December 2023. In October 2004, Ryan earned his Limited Real Estate Appraiser License. He enjoys spending "quality time" with the love of his life (and business partner) Lyndsey, hanging out with his son, and enjoying all of his activities. Ryan also relaxes at their waterfront home in Au Gres and participates in walleye fishing tournaments throughout the state.
