April’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $215,000—down 17.31% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $289,900 in Alabama for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $290,650 in May.

Cleburne County had 7 new listings and 8 listings that went under contract in April, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 23—down 8.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in May.

Of those 23 active listings, 13.04% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Cleburne County fell 24.75% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $225,000. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to fall.
