For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $318,990 in Polk County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $320,990 in June.
Lake Wales had 41 new listings and 38 listings that went under contract in May, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 172—down 1.71% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in June.
Of those 172 active listings, 36.63% reduced their price in the month of May. The median listing price for homes in Lake Wales grew 26.53% from April to May, bringing the current median listing price to $314,990. Based on projected data for June, listing prices may continue to grow.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year. In May 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 57 days, compared to 52 days in May 2024. In recent months the median number of days from listed to pending appears to be increasing. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this June.
