November’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $282,990—down 4.13% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $373,500 in Georgia for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $375,750 in December.
Lamar County had 14 new listings and 24 listings that went under contract in November, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 61—down 16.44% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in December.
Of those 61 active listings, 40.98% reduced their price in the month of November. The median listing price for homes in Lamar County grew 1.33% from October to November, bringing the current median listing price to $293,750. Based on projected data for December, listing prices may continue to grow.
