For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $312,900 in Illinois for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $319,000 in May.

Pike County had 4 new listings and 9 listings that went under contract in April, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 16—down 5.88% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in May.

Of those 16 active listings, 25.0% reduced their price in the month of April. The median listing price for homes in Pike County grew 18.14% from March to April, bringing the current median listing price to $133,500. Based on projected data for May, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
