For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $592,000 in Montgomery County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $568,000 in February.
South Kensington had 6 new listings and 11 listings that went under contract in January, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 10—down 23.08% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in February.
Of those 10 active listings, 30.0% reduced their price in the month of January. The median listing price for homes in South Kensington grew 42.81% from December to January, bringing the current median listing price to $1,374,500. Based on projected data for February, listing prices may continue to grow.
