October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $180,000—up 0.06% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $275,000 in Michigan for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $270,450 in November.
Saginaw County had 244 new listings and 237 listings that went under contract in October, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 511—down 1.35% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in November.
Of those 511 active listings, 42.86% reduced their price in the month of October. The median listing price for homes in Saginaw County fell 1.32% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $167,650. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
