New Mark’s rolling three-month snapshot through September 2026 shows some cooling at the margins, with the typical home value dipping about 5 percent from the prior period to around $371,000 while the median list price inched up slightly. Inventory has tightened month over month, as active listings fell nearly 20 percent to 33 and new listings declined about 15 percent.
Sales activity has slowed compared with the previous three months. Homes sold dropped more than 20 percent to 21, and pending sales fell sharply by over 40 percent to 17. Even with that pullback, homes are still moving quickly, with the median days on market down to 8.
Looking back a year, values have climbed, with the typical home value up nearly 12 percent and homes sold up about 7 percent versus the same rolling period in 2025. Supply has eased slightly year over year, with months of supply down to 2.1 in New Mark compared with 3.1 for Kansas City overall, and the share of homes selling above list has grown to about 28 percent. This mix of rising prices, low inventory, and fast market times keeps New Mark tilted toward sellers, yet motivated buyers still have opportunities if they move decisively.
