December’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $165,000—up 1.29% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $275,500 in Missouri for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $273,000 in January.
Livingston County had 2 new listings and 1 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 29—down 0.0% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.
Of those 29 active listings, 24.14% reduced their price in the month of December. The median listing price for homes in Livingston County fell 19.68% from November to December, bringing the current median listing price to $208,750. Based on projected data for January, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract fell year-over-year.
