Fairfield County had 265 new listings and 260 listings that went under contract in June, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 479—up 6.92% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in July.
Of those 479 active listings, 31.32% reduced their price in the month of June. The median listing price for homes in Fairfield County grew 1.57% from May to June, bringing the current median listing price to $384,950. Based on projected data for July, listing prices may continue to grow.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract has been fairly steady year-over-year.
