September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $139,500—down 6.53% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $285,000 in Grady County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $292,500 in October.
Chickasha had 26 new listings and 15 listings that went under contract in September, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 81—up 6.58% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in October.
Of those 81 active listings, 16.05% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Chickasha fell 10.65% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $187,450. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
