September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $319,990—up 11.53% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $507,800 in Oregon for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $502,300 in October.
Umatilla County had 70 new listings and 56 listings that went under contract in September, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 219—up 1.86% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in October.
Of those 219 active listings, 30.14% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Umatilla County fell 7.96% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $324,450. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
