For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $253,600 in West Virginia for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $257,700 in July.
Taylor County had 6 new listings and 6 listings that went under contract in June, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 19—down 13.64% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in July.
Of those 19 active listings, 21.05% reduced their price in the month of June. The median listing price for homes in Taylor County fell 20.38% from May to June, bringing the current median listing price to $158,450. Based on projected data for July, listing prices may continue to fall.
