Year over year, Portage County’s home values have eased, with the typical home value down nearly 8 percent and the median list price lower by about 6 percent. At the same time, buyers have more to choose from, as active listings are up nearly 38 percent compared with a year ago and months of supply has climbed to about 4.4, much higher than the statewide figure of 2.9 months.

In the latest April 2026 snapshot, the typical home value sits around $329,000 while the median list price is about $306,000. Homes are taking longer to sell than last year, with the median days on market at 61 and up sharply year over year, even as nearly 60 percent of listings are still going off market within two weeks.

Recent monthly shifts point to building momentum, as new listings more than doubled from March and pending sales jumped over 23 percent, while the number of homes sold held steady.
