We found Robert because he sold our neighbors home down the street in which went into contract after the first open house, well low and behold he did that all over again for us! Rob helped my family and I look at several homes. The first couple went very smooth, but by the 3rd home, Rob must have felt comfortable with us because he began making off-putting comments/jokes The 3rd home was apparently owned by an African-American family, which is neither here nor there for us, but Rob made a comment about a leopard print throw rug, jokingly saying that he was "surprised they didn't also have a watermelon patch and chickens running around". Taken aback by this comment, my wife and I started to feel uncomfortable as Rob's demeanor seemed to change from professional to more of a frat boy. At the 4th and final home, Rob made a comment to our 12 year old daughter concerning the pool, saying "I'm sure you and your friends will enjoy the pool and if mom and dad aren't home and you want to go swimming, Uncle Rob would be more than happy to come over and watch you swim". It was totally and utterly creepy. My wife actually gasped when she heard it. Needless to say that we didn't really pay much more attention to the house and quickly wrapped up our showing. We have not responded to "Uncle" Rob's many attempts to show us other listings.
