October’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the neighborhood to be $176,900—down 12.43% over the previous 12 months. Bessemer had 46 new listings and 46 listings that went under contract in October, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 69—up 1.47% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in November.
The median listing price for homes in Bessemer fell 5.69% from September to October, bringing the current median listing price to $165,000. Based on projected data for November, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year.
