In March 2026, the typical home value in South Side was about $277,000, well below the Chicago citywide typical value of $411,050. Homes spent a median of 94 days on the market, up 20.51 percent from a year ago, while 24.27 percent of sales closed above the list price and the average sale-to-list ratio stood near 0.97.
