The typical home value in Huntington County is projected to be $198,130 for the month of January. December’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $197,500—down 9.17% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, state-level data pegged home values at $265,300 in Indiana for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $263,600 in January.

Huntington County had 25 new listings and 36 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 67—down 22.99% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.

Of those 67 active listings, 32.84% reduced their price in the month of December. The median listing price for homes in Huntington County grew 0.06% from November to December, bringing the current median listing price to $180,000. Based on projected data for January, listing prices may continue to grow.

The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose year-over-year. In December 2025, the median time for a listed property to go pending was 28 days, compared to 19 days in December 2024. In recent months the median number of days from listed to pending appears to be steady. That trend is predicted to have carried through to this January.
