Learn more about what Waterfront has to offer.

Boston's Waterfront offers residents a vibrant, walkable harbor-front community with scenic views, parks, diverse dining and cultural options, and convenient access to transit and downtown.

Waterfront pairs postcard harbor views with everyday convenience, offering a front-row seat to tall ships, ferries, and sea breezes along Boston’s edge. Morning jogs on the continuous Harborwalk lead to pocket parks, public art, and piers, while the Rose Kennedy Greenway serves as a leafy backyard with food trucks, family-friendly events, and seasonal installations. The neighborhood’s centerpiece, the New England Aquarium, anchors Long Wharf with world-class marine exhibits and whale watch departures, and quick escapes to the Boston Harbor Islands make sunny weekends feel like a mini-vacation.

Commuting is remarkably simple: the Blue Line’s Aquarium station sits at the neighborhood’s core, rideshare and bike-share are plentiful, and water transportation connects to Logan and other harbor points. Dining skews toward seafood and waterfront patios, with modern condos and historic brick warehouses offering diverse housing options, many boasting balconies or roof decks with panoramic harbor vistas.

Families appreciate access to strong public school options, including the acclaimed Eliot K-8 Innovation School and citywide exam pathways such as Boston Latin School. Weekdays feel efficient; weekends feel like a staycation—sailing lessons at sunset, picnics under the Greenway’s trellises, and aquarium sleepovers for the kids.
