September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the city to be $250,000—up 13.69% over the previous 12 months. For comparison, county-level data pegged home values at $265,450 in Wabasha County for the most recent reporting period. That number is expected to float around $220,430 in October.
Wabasha had 5 new listings and 4 listings that went under contract in September, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 17—up 6.25% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in October.
Of those 17 active listings, 17.65% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Wabasha fell 7.97% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $299,000. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
