Christian County home prices have softened slightly compared to last year, with the typical home value down less than 1 percent year over year. Sales activity has also eased, as homes sold are about 8 percent lower than a year ago and pending sales are down nearly 19 percent. At the same time, active listings are running about 12 percent below last year, keeping overall supply relatively tight.

Looking at the latest monthly snapshot for May 2026, the typical home value is about $334,000 and the median list price is roughly $346,000. Homes are taking longer to sell than last year, with the median days on market at 29 days, and the average sale-to-list price ratio has slipped to just over 93 percent.

Conditions still lean toward sellers, reflected in a seller’s market gauge and a months-of-supply figure of 2.2 months, which is leaner than the 3 months of supply seen statewide in Missouri. New listings jumped nearly 23 percent from April to May, and homes sold increased almost 8 percent month over month, showing some renewed seasonal activity even as year-over-year numbers run lower. With homes generally selling below list price and more options hitting the market, buyers have room to negotiate while sellers still benefit from relatively low inventory.
