September’s finalized data reported the typical value of a home in the county to be $248,000—up 12.73% over the previous 12 months. Greene County had 15 new listings and 8 listings that went under contract in September, increasing the area’s total available inventory to 29—up 20.83% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further increased in October.
Of those 29 active listings, 24.14% reduced their price in the month of September. The median listing price for homes in Greene County fell 15.97% from August to September, bringing the current median listing price to $200,000. Based on projected data for October, listing prices may continue to fall.
