Old Forge had 11 new listings and 7 listings that went under contract in December, decreasing the area’s total available inventory to 14—down 12.5% from the previous month. Inventory is projected to have further decreased in January.
Of those 14 active listings, 14.29% reduced their price in the month of December. The median listing price for homes in Old Forge fell 37.48% from November to December, bringing the current median listing price to $200,000. Based on projected data for January, listing prices may continue to fall.
The number of days that homes have been on the market prior to going under contract rose sharply year-over-year.
